Sparkabilities Toddler 1 & 2 builds upon concepts from Babies 1 & 2: Math (Geometry, Fractions, Addition, Subtraction, Numeration): Building a shape is designed to promote recognition and category of shape, reinforce form constancy through foundational attributes, and introduce geometrical concepts (shapes, lines, points, and grids). Reading (Letters, Letter sounds, Visual discrimination, and Directionality) Mouth/ABC is designed to introduce letters and letter sounds, exercise visual and auditory memory, engage langauge and communication skills, and assist in sound recognition and production. Art (Hue, Saturation, Value): Color theory is designed to introduce primary and secondary colors, illustrate basic color theory (hue, saturation, and value), and illustrate color mixing. Music (Instrument Families and Notes): Music theory is designed to introduce instrument families, engage sensory property coordination, introduce basic music theory, and isolate sounds both visually and auditorily. Emotion (Happy, Sad, Mad, OK): Emotion is designed to illustrate four basic emotions, exercise recognition of emotional states, and reinforce sensory property coordination. Also includes: Subject which is designed to promote memory building using performance algorithms, exercise categorization skills, reinforce form constancy through foundational attributes, introduce subject attributes/promote creative thinking, and exercise discrimination skills. Counting for introducing numeration, illustrate amounts increasing and decreasing, and reinforce concept of zero. Puzzle is designed to exercise recognition and category of shape, promote geometrical classification skills, and promote understanding of geometrical relations.
