We are required to collect 6% sales tax on purchases shipped to addresses within the state of Iowa.
Returns and Exchanges
While we hope you will be thrilled with every purchase you make, we realize there are times you may change your mind, or an item may differ from what you expected. Our return policy is as listed below:
Little Padded Seats will 100% refund any regularly priced item within 60 days of the original purchase given that the following conditions are satisfied:
- The product is clean, unused, unwashed and has all of the manufacturer's original packaging material, including tags and registration cards (if applicable)*. It must be in new, re-sellable condition, including tags still attached, for a return to be accepted.
- We still carry the product at regular price.
- We can identify the original transaction in our system. (The easiest way for us to do this is if you still have your sales receipt or gift receipt. Otherwise we may be able to locate your purchase using your name and the item. Transaction MUST have a name associated with it if no receipt is presented.)
If you are returning an item within 60 days of the original purchase and we no longer carry that product at regular price (but the other two above conditions are satisfied) we will refund the item at the most recent discounted price that the item is marked.
carriers have a product registration card attached to them by the
manufacturer. This card MUST be present for us to accept the product
back. If the card has been detached, torn or is otherwise in a
condition other than what it was when the manufacturer packaged the
product there will be a 20% restocking fee. This fee applies even if
the card has been re-attached.
Diapers, covers, & fasteners ONLY - Items returned after 60 days but before 9 months of the original transaction date will have a 20% restocking fee assessed but will need to meet the same conditions as above.
Items that are not in new, re-sellable condition will not be accepted for return.
Items for which we cannot find the original sales record in our system will not be accepted for return.
Items which were sold as sale/clearance will not be accepted for return. All sales are final on sale and clearance items.
All refunds will be reduced by the amount of any reward, voucher, or other discounts applied to original purchase.
The only exception to this policy is if an item is defective. Defective items are handled on a case by case basis, as several of our manufacturers deal with defects themselves. We may refer you to them once we evaluate the issue.
Due to the nature of bath/body products, these products are non-returnable unless the item is defective or the wrong product is shipped.
Orders that are canceled after being processed but before being shipped will be subject to a 5% cancellation fee.
Online Order Returns
Items may be returned within 60 days of the invoice date for a merchandise exchange or a refund based on the original form of payment. Exchanges or store credit will be given for the purchase amount minus what it cost to ship the item to you. Refunds are subject to a 5% restocking fee in addition to the original shipping cost. Customer is responsible for postage to return the item(s). Little Padded Seats will reimburse postage only if we sent an incorrect item other than what was ordered.
Online Order Return Procedures
Please follow these instructions to return any purchase from Little Padded Seats.
- Notify us immediately of any problems, so that we may be watching for the return to arrive in the mail.
- Please keep a copy of the invoice for your records.
- Circle the items that you are returning or exchanging and on the bottom portion of the invoice note the reason for the return or exchange.
- Indicate on the invoice copy if you want us to refund your money or if you would like an exchange.
- If you need a refund processed to your credit card, please write the full card number and expiration date on the invoice, as we do not store complete card numbers.
- Circle the name and address where we should send the refund or exchanged item.
- Pack (include invoice copy) and seal your return securely, in the original package if possible. Postage must be paid by the customer at the time of shipment. No COD packages will be accepted.
- Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing of returns.
*We currently ship to the United States and Canada only.
All US orders will have a flat rate of $5.95 shipping and handling charge added.
- In-stock orders generally ship within 3 business days of receipt, however, occasionally with large volume sales, it can take a little longer. We observe all standard holidays. If an item is backordered or special order, shipping time is approximately 2-3 weeks.
- We reserve the right to ship your purchase via the most affordable method. Most orders ship First Class or Priority Mail.
- Delivery Confirmation is included on all orders. If you wish to insure your package or add signature confirmation, please email me for the cost.
- Express shipping is available at an additional cost. Please email me for details.
- Free local pickup is available at our store in Valley West Mall.
